First Aid Overview
The Health and Safety Executive from 1997 until 1st October 2013. The HSE now no longer govern the running of First Aid at Work courses. We run our courses to the HSE’s high standards.
Our First-Aid trainer became a First Aid at Work First Aider in 1991. In 1993 she qualified as a First Aid Instructor & Assessor, she has worked for many years for various HSE Approved First Aid training companies.
As we cannot choose the age or size of our casualty we prefer to instruct Adult, child & baby CPR on every course. Also should the First Aider change workplace then they will be suitably trained to care for all age groups. This includes First Aid at Work courses. Once the courses set syllabus & course hours have been completed we can then cover Paediatric CPR should the Client & First Aiders wish to do so.
We also include administration of the Epipen, Jext & Anapen for Anaphylaxis (severe allergic reactions). This extra training will give the First Aider certification for 1 year. We will include more in-depth training on certain subjects according to your specific requirements.
Courses are kept interesting & enjoyable. We use plenty of equipment, usually 1 CPR Mannequin per course delegate plus various visual learning aids. All equipment is kept in good order & in a safe, hygienic condition.
Each delegate will receive the appropriate First Aid manual written by Nigel Barraclough. You can view the manuals & their contents at http://www.qualsafe.com/fame.html
We do have plenty of excellent company references to hand. If you would like to see copies then do let us know. We have many Clients ranging from blue chip companies to Doctors Surgeries to individuals.
You may be aware that in October 2010 slight changes were made to the European Resuscitation Guidelines. We ensure that all those trained with us are taught the most up-to-date & effective procedures
