On your course we will also cover Adult Resuscitation.  You may be with friends, family or at a Nursery or School where an adult may need caring for.

Ofsted do not currently stipulate the course duration for Paediatric First Aid courses for Nannies, etc.

The HSE do not govern this 1 day course, hence there is not set maximum number of delegates.  We set a maximum of 16 delegates as they can easily be supervised each working on their own mannequin.

Delegates Receive

A4 and laminated wallet sized certificate valid for 3 years
Plus and Ofsted approved, paediatric specific quality First Aid manual

Content

As per Ofsted’s recommended syllabus:

First Aid Kits, Record Keeping, First Aid Emergencies
Adult and Paediatric Basic Life Support (CPR)
Asthma, Anaphylaxis plus Bites/Stings, Choking, Poisoning, Seizures
Meningitis, Sickle Cell, Diabetes, Hypothermia/Hyperthermia Shock, Burns
Foreign Bodies in: Eyes/Ears/Nose, Injuries to: Eyes/Head/Neck/Back
Fractures, Dislocations, Strains, Sprains, Bleeds and Electric Shock

We will also include onto Ofsteds recommended syllabus:
Adult Basic Life Support (CPR)
Hyperventilation, Heart Condition and Stroke

Exipen, Jext and Anapen Administration Training

This can be included onto all courses once a set syllabus and set course duration has been covered.

Delegates receive

An A4 certificate valid for 12 months

Content

Recognition and Treatment of Anaphylax (Severe Allergic Reaction)
Plus actual practise with 100% safe “trainer” Epipens to practise administering the Epipen on ourselves and each other.

Cost

For a large number of delegates a minimal cost may be charged to cover the cost of certificates.
