Reassessment
Revised Streetworks Qualifications for Reassessment 2020
The Highway Authorities Utilities Committee (HAUC UK) who own the Streetworks qualifications have recently made some changes.
Candidates undertaking reassessment will be examined on their current knowledge of the standards, principles and application of the current documents and codes of practice by a pre-set 20 question multiple-choice examination for each certificate held.
The pass mark for each examination is set at 80%
Candidates are permitted access during examinations to the documents listed below. The time allowed is 45 minutes for each examination certificate.

Safety at Street Works and Road Works, code of Practice
An introduction to Vehicle Actuated Portable Traffic Signals
Avoiding Danger from Underground Services HSG 47
Health and Safety in Construction HSG 150
Volume 1: NJUG Guidelines on the Positioning And Colour Coding of Underground Utilities Apparatus (National Joint Utilities Group)
Specification for Highway/Road Works (SHW) Series 1000
Interpave documents relating to concrete block paving and concrete slab reinstatements (based upon BS Standards)
Our course is over 2 days.
Day 1 will be refresher training using the above books.
Day 2 will be a day of examinations with the permitted use of the above books, however no notes taken on day 1 can be used nor any media devices.
There is no facility for other languages to be used as all codes of practice, assessment materials and supported documents are only printed in English.
As before your card is valid for 5 years after successful completion of the course, you can still take a reassessment up to 5 years past your card expiry date (as long as you can produce the card), however you are not covered to work on the highway on your own during this time.
You can also take a reassessment up to 1 year before your card expires and the additional 5 years will run from the card expiry date.
